The Westhope Port of Entry’s new updated facility is part of the $720 million in federal stimulus money being used to upgrade border crossings, both along the northern and southern borders. The Westhope Port of Entry, which serves about 73 people each day, was granted $15 million for its renovations, which included better commercial vehicle processing lanes and enhanced screening areas.
